GLP1-RA Polygenic Risk Prediction (Research Science Institute 2025)

June 2025 - August 2025

Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard

  • Built polygenic risk score models to identify subpopulations most likely to benefit from GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy.
  • Integrated GWAS data with EHR records across diverse biobank cohorts under PI Pradeep Natarajan.
  • Research recognized as top 5 oral presenters at the Research Science Institute (RSI) at MIT by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and presented at the American Heart Association's National Conference.

siRNA Kidney Gene Therapy Research

2023 - Present

Weill Cornell Medical School and the University of New Mexico

  • Investigated small interfering RNA delivery mechanisms for targeted gene silencing in renal tissue under PI Achraf Noureddine.
  • Developed novel lipid nanoparticle formulations to improve renal cell transfection efficiency that substanially outperformed the clinical standard.
  • Research placed 4th at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and was published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics.

Spaceflight Osteoporosis Treatment

May 2024 - August 2024

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

  • Analyzed bone density loss mechanisms in microgravity and proposed pharmacological interventions under the mentorship of Dr. Marissa Morales.
  • Research selected as a national finalist (top 5/ >1000 applicants) in the Genes in Space challenge .
  • Presented at the International Space Station Research and Development Conference and published in the Journal of Emerging Investigators.

Machine-Learning-Informed Cancer Nanomedicine Design

September 2023 - Present

University of Southern California

  • Integrated machine learning with physics-informed modeling to design cancer-targeting nanoparticles under PI Prashant Dogra.
  • Experimentally tested chemo-nanotherapeutics substantially outperformed the clinical standard by 60%.
  • Research recognized as second place twice by the United States Department of Defense and published in ACS Nano.
